(Français) Le nom de cette cache signifie "Trois tavernes" en latin; c'est le nom romain de la ville de Saverne. Le "T" de "Tabernae" s'est transformé en "S" au fil des années, par un chemin assez tordu.
Cette cache peut se faire en VTT (sauf les 50 derniers mètres), mais la montée de la ville risque de vous fâtiguer déjà! Sinon, se garer en face du Jardin Botanique (c'est clairement affiché).
Notre chemin commence au waypoint donné; ici, un panneau décrit une promenade circulaire. L'un des points d'intérêt marqués porte le nom d'un homme mondialement connu (même s'il s'agit probablement en fait d'une autre personne, c'est celui que apparaît parfois dans "Ici Paris" qui nous intéresse ici). Comment s'appelait sa (première) épouse ? Il faut transformer les lettres du prénom de cette dernière en chiffres (A=1, B=2, etc), et les additionner, pour obtenir X, puis calculer xxx=(X*7)+13 et yyy=(X*13).
Aller ensuite à N48º45.xxx E007º20.yyy, où se trouve l'une des étapes du parcours de santé qui est dissimulé dans la forêt. Compter les composants de l'activité sportive qu'on peut essayer ici (attention, il faut regarder de très près s'il y a des feuilles parterre) ; le total est donc Y. (Normalement, Y est aussi le numéro de l'étape du parcours de santé ici.) Calculer nnn=(Y*24)-8 et eee=(Y*40)-5.

(English) The name of the cache, which means "Three Taverns", is the Roman name of the town of Saverne. The "T" in "Tabernae" became a "Z" at some point in the town's Germanic-speaking past, and the "Z" became an "S" when the larger villages and towns in Alsace had their names "Frenchified".
You can do this cache by mountain bike (apart from the last 50 metres), but the ride up to the start from the town may already have tired you out! Otherwise, park your car across the road from the "Jardin Botanique".
Start at the waypoint given above, where a sign describes a circular walking tour which you can make. One of the points on the walk is named after a world-famous person - in fact it's probably named after someone else with the same name, but we're interested in the one whom everyone has heard of. Add up the letters of his (first) wife's name (A=1, B=2, etc) to get X. Calculate xxx=(X*7)+13 and yyy=(X*13).
Now go to N48º45.xxx E007º20.yyy, where you will find one of several pieces of exercise equipment which are scattered around the trail. Count the number of items which make up this exercise (look very carefully, especially if there are leaves on the ground!) to get Y. (Y should also be equal to the stage number within the exercise trail here.) Calculate nnn=(Y*24)-8 and eee=(Y*40)-5.
