The Injerbreck Triangle Part One Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

=^..^=: This cache has been around for 15 years, the location has been around for a lot longer and that really is what I wanted people to find.

When I started placing geocaches there were only a couple of the Island - and generally they were in walls or similar in Douglas.

I spread caches out across the island - for instance the injerbreck triangle caches present incredible vistas of the island - and generally I doubt anyone would go there unless I'd put a cache there.

But I can't commit to a maintenance schedule that wasn't there 15 years ago when I placed the cache.

So I'm shutting all the caches down.

I'm going to archive them and let Geocaching shut them down permanently.

Geocache Description:

Cache is located at 1,300 feet. The nearest car parking space is over 1.5 miles away (as the crow flies). Not an easy cache as the track to it is not well defined. The tracks is also not listed on the OS maps :).

This cache is the first in a run of three caches. But get them in any order you want as I'm not making you jump through hoops !

The path this is on is best described as a sheep track. Its not shown on the O/S maps but can be spotted on the Aerial Photos of the IoM.

If you come up the Bridleway from Cronk Breck you can see this path directly ahead as you pass the wall on the climb up Slieau Ruy.

The view from this cache is quite incredible - you can look down towards the south of the Island - Fort Island is visible on a good day.

I'd suggest climbing up Cronk Brek, picking up Red Mountain as you pass, getting this cache and then moving onto Injerbreck Triangle Part Two.

If anyone can tell me what the cache location was used for it would be great as I can't see any purpose for it (and the same for cache location two). Also why have just these two 'survived'. There must be more - maybe they are covered by the heather ?

The Cache is in a cycling drinks bottle - totally waterproof but with little space for 'finds'. Anything you intend to leave must fit in the neck of the bottle.

This cache has been removed before so please ensure you hide the cache well.
