Geocache Description:

During Cold War more than 600 nuclear missiles was located in the Eastern Europe and Russia. Their targets was in the West Europe. One such regiment of silo-based missiles, called Dvina, was located near small town Eleja on the Latvian south. Four SS-4 Sandal missiles was located there. This regiment was placed on alert in mid 60’s and fully stop function in 1989. More details can be found on Federation of American Scientists Nuclear Forces Guide Very thorough description available in Mikhail Pervov book “Special-purpose Rocket Complexes” and also in Igor Afanasjev book “R-12 Sandal tree” (both in Russian only).
You can drive there on A8/E77 and turn on P103 to Dobele direction. At N56 24.969 E23 37.139 you will see small paved road to the left without any signs. Leave your car on the second cross at N56 24.503 E23 36.864 – you can only move further by feet or on the bike.
You will need working clothes and at least two good pocket flashes to enter inside the complex (take second flash closely, so you can switch it on, if something happens with your first one). It will be easy to find input – it’s coordinates listed in the cache description.
When you enter to the complex, you will be on –1 floor. At the right side you can find stairs to the –2 floor. Go there. After the central passage you will find fork point (see photo). Four tunnels from that point lead to two shafts and two another rooms. You need to find shaft with remaining footsteps to the hatchways for the shaft internals. All metal constructions in schaft is now stolen. Cache hidden under small hatch inside the shaft (see photo). Probably, you will need small crow or similar thing to open and than restore back the hatch door – you can easily find it near this place. Hatch door is now broken. Use screws (see picture) to fix smal hatch door in front of cache. Please be very careful, always check the ground.
Virtual component, in case the cache was destroyed: Please list paragraf numbers for the order N34 in diesel room.
Added: CD with Map of Latvia, xSU signs
