“Lac de la Plate Taile” is the artificial lake made by the biggest flood-control dam of Belgium. It is really worthwhile to visit it and spend some time in the area.
One can visit the barrage near Cerfontaine (with a guide) and also the tower of 107 meter above ground level. This gives a splendid 360° view over the area.
On, in and near the lake itself (about 2.7 km in length) one can enjoy many sports. And now geocaching can be added to this list. Also take some time to visit the EcoMuseum with about 25 cold water aquaria. And for the ‘young’ ones there is this labyrinth to get lost in.
The stash itself is hidden NEAR N50° 11.502 E004° 23.017, a few meters below streetlight “S20267”. Find the yellow ‘GC’ sigh to get the PE box hidden under some stones. (When you find it you understand the use of the word ‘near’ because no satellite can be received there – place it back invisible for others.)
