Geocache Description:

This is my second cache in the northern area of the Pentland Hills near to Edinburgh. It is a lower level version of "Slightly Off Piste" and can easily be completed with "Piste" as a pair. I would again suggest that the walk be started from the Hillend Ski Slope which is situated south of the Edinburgh City Bypass on the A702. The walk starts to the right hand side of the main buildings. Parking at the Ski Slope can be difficult at the weekend. There are other ways to approach this cache and I would suggest caution if approaching from the south west as there is a bit of a sudden drop. There are signs warning dog owners to keep their animals under control particularly at lambing time. My own dog loves this walk.
