The Still River Cache Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

CogCacher: This cache was found and in good shape, unfortunately the trail that the city was to put in has yet to be put in. The last 100 - 200 ft is all over grown and will get worse as the summer goes on.
Look for this cache to be placed in a new location real soon.

Geocache Description:

This cache is in Danbury’s Still River Greenway.

How can a flowing river be called Still? Well that is one that you will have to answer. The cache is a 50 Cal ammo box. Please park in the lot at N41 24.840 W73 25.200 then enter the greenway on the east side of the building (see the signs on the telephone pole). On the way out you can stop and learn about how Danbury and the Still River have interacted with each other of the last several centuries. Please try to stick to the trail (near the river) as the cache is not far from the trail.NOTE: The Greenway is a flood plane. Do not attempt this cache when flood warnings are issued! You can visit the web site for the Greenway at (visit link)
