Geocache Description:

The above coordinates are for parking. It’s Heatherstone lane on maps, but there is no street sign. A narrow gravel road, looks like a private driveway, only need to go in about 150 feet or so. Room for two or three cars only. Please do not block the road.... The final cache location is:.....41 21.999 73 22.803...changes made: nov 18 2021

written below here.....is the original easy night cache description...and left intact for old timers to look at and perhaps read the logs?..thus, reason for not archiving and rewriting this cache! It also became much too difficult to maintain the many "glints"..... those reflective tacks. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Just in time for Halloween. This was an introduction to night caching. A very easy straightforward non-complicated night only caching experience, suitable for family and all ages. For added thrill / scare, do during Halloween. If novice, do not attempt alone, does get a bit scary. Do not do during day light., as we are not even able to find many of the tacks. Its only 6 tenths of a mile long, seems 8 or so year olds should be able to handle it, I was only 10 years old , 2004. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Best to arrive before dusk, and back into to small clearing and park. Two bicycle reflectors, at entrance… mark the spot. This is an official entrance to a wildlife preserve and part of the: “Enchanted Trail”. A minimum of two light sources are recommended. A head lamp works well, but a 2 D cell flashlight works better, focus able mag lite = best. Carry spare batteries, if cold, put in pocket to keep warm. Mini maglight AA / AAA not recommended. Look at example glint tack midway between the 2 bicycle reflectors and walk back to main road and test your light set-up. If unable to see the glint tack from 100 feet, raise light up to your eye level. Procedure is: from parking area, shine lights into woods and find first glint or glow tack. Walk to it, and from it, repeat procedure, finding next one and so on. Route does not necessarily follow a near straight line and does wander on and off trails. Two reflectors [one above other] indicate a sharp turn such as at post # 1..a short distance in from parking..take a sharp left ! Note: double glints at post # 3 indicate a sharp turn right..downhill…then following yellow markers of the “Enchanted Trail”…and another right turn at post # 2 Follow the white glints and keep looking for and find the three red glints in order to locate cache, an ammo can with red reflector…under a few rocks..behind rock wall close by. From this point , continue along white glint trail [aka “Enchanted Trail”, marked by yellow signs and yellow paint dots... ] back to car. No serious bushwhacking is necessary. NOTE : please download the permission or " passport " slip and display on car dashboard.
