Halloween Hollow is a fairly large clear plastic container loaded with Halloween-themed items. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE CANDY OR FOOD IN THE CACHE WHEN YOU TRADE! (Why? 1. Squirrels might ransack the cache. 2. Would you eat candy you found in a cache?) ***Please read park rules below.*** Happy caching!
Cache is located in Crow-Hassan Park Reserve near Rogers. Park hours are 5 a.m. - sunset.
PARK HERE: N45.11.103/W093.37.787. Free parking. Cache is about a 0.4 mile walk from the parking lot on a well-defined packed dirt trail.
ANIMALS: Dogs allowed on leash on certain trails - see sign at parking lot. You can get to the cache with a dog. You can also get to the cache by horse (suggest you bring a friend with you to hold the horses while you actually go to retrieve the cache.) Horse riders 16+ years old must have trail tag or $5 daily permit available at parking lot. Horse trails are closed in the winter - see Three Rivers Park District website for details (usually around Nov. 1).
SKIING/SNOWSHOEING is permitted in the winter. Last year they didn't groom the ski trails - see Three Rivers Park District website for details.
