Geocache Description:

This citycache is at Lahti bus station.
Tämä kaupunkikätkö on Lahden linja-autoasemalla.

Cache is micro sized and it´s hidden in a pretty easy location. The cache is located at quite busy surroundings and there should be a lot of geomuggles around, so depending on the time of the day the difficulty rating may be higher. There is no pen in the container.

Relocated 4.3.2014 as the construction at old location (N 60° 59.068 E 025° 39.053) was removed. Let see how this location works.

Bus Station of Lahti was designed by Kaarlo Könönen (1892-1965), who was a city architect in Lahti during years 1929-1955. The station was built at 1939. At that time the building was one of the first and one of the most attractive ones of its kind (functionalism). The building is nowadays protected by law.

Kätkö on snadikokoinen ja sijoitettu paikkaan, joka on saavutettavissa helposti myös talvella. Kätkö sijaitsee vilkkaalla alueella ja kätkön voisi ajankohdasta riippuen luokitella etwaksen werran vaikeammaksikin. Ei kynää kätkössä.

Uudelleensijoitettu 4.3.2014 sen jälkeen kun vanhoissa koordinaateissa (N 60° 59.068 E 025° 39.053) sijainnut rakennelma otti hatkat. Saas nähdä, miten tää uusi lokaatio toimii.

Lahden Linja-autoaseman suunnitteli Kaarlo Könönen (1892-1965), joka toimi Lahden kaupunginarkkitehtina vuodet 1929-1955. Hän on suunnitellut myös Lahden keskustakaavan. Lahden linja-autoasema valmistui 1939 ja se oli aikanaan tyylilajinsa ensimmäinen ja edelleen yksi kiinnostavimmista kohteista (funktionalismi). Tätä nykyä rakennus on suojelukohde.
