Geocache Description:

This is the first cache in the series of my technology related caches. It will take you to wardriving!

To find this cache, you will need either a laptop computer with WLAN card, a PDA with WLAN card or some of the new cell phones that support WLANs. If you don't have a WLAN card, I can loan you one. Car is also very useful and you don't need to step out of it during first three points. Sorry, can't loan you a car.

1. The starting point for your wardriving is in the initial coordinates. There you have to find an SSID of the WLAN that starts with letter "T". You may see few other WLANs too in that point, but pick the longest SSID. This should be quite easy point, because there is at least 3 access points with the same long SSID.

To find out the second coordinates, use the following rules:

a = 1, b =2, c=3, d=4.... clip .... å=27, ä=28, ö=29.

Pick the 2nd, 8th, 12th, 13th and 14th letters of the SSID and translate them to corresponding numbers.

The second point coordinates are N 61 xxxxx E 023 yyyyy, where

xxxxx = ([12th]-[13th]+[2nd])*([12th]^3)+5085

and

yyyyy = (([8th]^3)*[14th])-394

2. In this point you will have to find an SSID that starts and ends with letter "T". This may be a little bit more difficult, compared to previous point, because there seems to be only one access point with this SSID. You may even have to drive past the given point few times, or get yourself close to the building.

To find out the third coordinates, use the following rules:

a = 1, b =2, c=3, d=4.... clip .... å=27, ä=28, ö=29.

Pick the 2nd, 7th, 8th and 11th letters of the SSID and translate them to corresponding numbers. The third point coordinates are N 61 xxxxx E 023 yyyyy, where

xxxxx = (([2nd]^3)*[7th])+2549

and

yyyyy = ([8th]^4)-([11th]^3)-188

3. Now, this is probably easy too. Here you can see also other SSIDs, but pick the one that starts with letter "H" and has only one number in it. To find out the final coordinates, use the following rules:

a = 1, b =2, c=3, d=4.... clip .... å=27, ä=28, ö=29.

Pick the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 6th, 7th and 8th letters of the SSID and translate them to corresponding numbers. The final coordinates are N 61 xxxxx E 023 yyyyy, where

xxxxx = ([3rd]^4)+(([6th]+[8th])*6th)-[8th]-[2nd]

and

yyyyy = (([6th]^3)*[4th])-([7th]^2)-([8th]^2)-[3rd]+2

Have fun!
