Geocache Description:

A short walk up a wide former logging road. NO motorized vehicles. No bushwacking.There is no real trailhead here, only a parking spot at N45 11.538, W78 09.520.

There is now 4 off road parking spots a very short distance up the trail.
Let us know if you continue up to the gut and the rapids.

Near the cache there is an old sign indicating that the York Rapids are 3.5km by trail even though our GPS showed 2.5km to The Gut at N45 12.812 W78 10.283. Just follow the yellow diamond bicycle signs for some great scenery. A little too hilly for us to bike but a very nice 3 hour walk. A bike would be excellent for crossing the single water hazard. But for those who don't wish to walk that far we have placed the cache less than 100m past the trail sign mentioned above. The cache is a green topped 1kg peanut butter jar containing 12 lapel pins and a stuffed Eyore, log book and the required Geocache notice. It is not particularly well hidden, just at the edge of the bush, not really in the bush, as there are very few muggles around except for the horseback tour group.
