Een wandeling in de Belle-Epoque wijk van Antwerpen – A walk in the Belle-Epoque district of Antwerp

Zurenburg, het klein district vlak bij Berchem station, wordt gedomineerd door de Cogels-Osylei. Samen met de aangrenzende straten is deze Belle Epoque wijk een vlaggenschip van de Antwerpse architectuur. De statische herenhuizen stralen de Art Nouveau en Jugendstil sfeer uit, kenmerkend tijdens de wisseling naar de 20ste eeuw.
Parkeren kan op de Zurenborgbrug N51°12.187 E04°26.306. Ook het station Antwerpen-Berchem is een bruikbaar startpunt (met de Lijn of de trein te bereiken).
Tijdens de korte wandeling bepaal je getallen om de stash coördinaat te bepalen. Neem zeker de tijd om her en der eens de straat over te steken en de architectuurkust te bewonderen. Bij het laatste WP kan je een sfeervolle rustpauze inlassen.

Zurenborg (situated near Berchem train station), dominated by the famous Cogels-Osylei. Together with the streets nearby this is the Belle Epoque district, the flagship of Antwerp architecture with its small bourgeois houses. Art Nouveau and Jugendstil were the art form when the 20th century started.
You can can park at the Zurenborg bridge N51°12.187 E04°26.306. Also the train station of Antwerp-Berchem is a good starting point that one can reach by train or tramway.
During the short walk you need to get figures to determine the stash coordinate. Do take your time to look and cross the streets to admire the architecture. Near the last WP you can take a break.

Het ganse plein is zeker de moeite voor een omweg. Misschien kan je hier een cafeetje vinden om even na te genieten.
Aangezien het zo goed als onmogelijk is om de stash te verbergen tussen deze huizen, ga je naar de stash via dit WP - om daar de kunstige grafitti te bewonderen in deze straat.
