Logan Airport Travel Bug Hotel Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

LaughingTree: The construction here seems to be continuing, and the cache site no longer exists. We will return, though -- in about a year, this will be a great new park, and we'll add it to our upcoming Pocket Parks series as a new TB hotel. Stay tuned!

Geocache Description:

This cache is accessible by train, plane, bus, car or foot and should be easy to reach while on layover at Logan. We're hoping it will help some ambitious travel bugs get a little closer to their destinations.

12/22/04 UPDATE: Several bulldozers and an awful lot of macadam have materialized on top of the former cache site. We have temporarily removed the cache and redistributed the travel bugs inside to keep them moving. It looks like the construction will be done in a month or two, so we'll keep the cache temporarily disabled and will replace it when things have settled down. Though people seem to like the cache site, we didn't think it responsible to lead people into a danger zone -- no bulldozed cachers on our conscience, please!

The cache is located in a generally ignored corner of a very public recreation area about a minute's stroll from the Airport T stop. It's NOT within Logan proper. Although it's hidden in plain sight, we have not had any muggle problems to date.

The combination to the lock is "000". Once within striking distance, your good caching intuition should make this a very easy find.

NOTE: We hereby rescind the usual "take a bug only if you can leave one" guideline; the point of a TB Hotel is to move a bug along on its mission. Thus, if you see a bug going wherever you're headed, feel free to take it along.
We'll keep tabs on the number remaining and ensure that there are always a few bugs ready for travel. Happy caching!
