Located close to the Dolly Sods Wilderness area, this is the highest point in Grant County, WV.
In case you are not aware, there are no mountains in WV, only valleys. Ancient valley floors now occupy the high elevations. Dolly Sods is a great area for studying the environment of a high altitude bog. While you are in the area, look for a gated road leading back about 0.4 mile to the Bell Knob Lookout Tower. The ammo can cache isn't far away but the tree cover will increase the challenge. Just an additional word. Although this is a easy cache in good weather, this area can get nasty fast. Be prepared for cooler temperatures, higher wind, and much much more snow. Have fun and good luck.
