A nice walk on a local trail. Trail can be muddy after rainfall and passes swampland. Make sure you are wearing appropriate shoes and mosquito protection.
This is my second cache on the Briarcliff Peekskill Trailway. A rough map can be found at (visit link) . This trail winds it's way through the north-west section of Westchester. Many nice strolls can be made here.
You can either park at the Blue Mountain Reservation or a closer legal parking area is N41 15.317 W73 53.744. The trail crosses the road at the south end of this parking area. There are two street crossings that are closer to the cache but neither one has a safe area to park the car away from traffic.
I recommend spending 1 1/2 - 2 hours on Trailway Series 1 and 2 together - the total round trip is approximately 6 kilometers. A nice afternoon walk. The terrain is not quite level but has no steep inclines.
