The Redwood City Library has a long history--before its current stint as the Library's main branch, it was the main fire department. Check out the facade, and you'll see a couple of clues as to its former identity (like the huge doorways for the trucks, and the "RCFD" insignia over the doors). Before that, the site housed the area's school, on what was then an 'island'. In any event, this is a wonderful civic spot, so I've placed a cache here in recognition of it. The container is a bigger than a pint and smaller than a quart in volume.
The difficulty rating is partly due to toughness of hide, partly due to very heavy muggle activity. This will require either great stealth or good timing to avoid the residents of the semi-permanent homeless encampment at the Libary. If you do this at night, consider it a five star cache.
As a final note, to put the cache in its proper placement and help keep it hidden, THE LOOP MUST BE ON THE METAL HOOK (which is there, but may be hard to find). If you find it out of position, please try to replace it properly so it's well hidden. Thanks!
