Geocache Description:

This is a hang-gliding and glide-parachuting starting place with the best natural circumstances in Hungary.

This is the first geocache of the Nyikom Mountain Sport and Environmentalist Club.

The site:

The cache is placed on a hang-gliding and glide-parachuting starting place with the best natural circumstances in Hungary. Beside the beautiful view we can meet hang-glider pilots and glide-parachuters also. We can see how they prepare the start and how they raise into the skies.
If you want to see the starts the best thing is to prepare what is the current wind direction. This is important, because the pilots can start in the face of the wind!
A wind from SW, W, NW, N, NE is suitable for takeoff on the Nyikom. The peak can be found 100 meters (300') upstairs.
Feel home, since the site is owned by the Nyikom-Team, everybody is welcome!

Approach:
The starting point: Travelling from Paszto to Galyateto turn right at the Hasznos post office. Leave the car 200 meters (70') after the church, before the minor road on the right.
Pilots can drive until the windsleeve, but it's recommended only for skilled drivers who know where are the car's wheels and what high is the car's bottom.
The left branch of the fork turn-off of the minor road leads to the Nyikom top. The road is about 3 kilometers (2 mi) with 300 meters (100') level. Always choose the better treaded path.
Reaching the site from Matrakeresztes is harder. After turning off toward the Nyikom top, watch the yellow ribbons. This is the only passable path from the E, S.

The cache:
Take care, there are many stinging blackthorn around the cache. The container is round with 18 cm (7") diagonal and 8 cm (3") in depth. Simply lift it up, no need to dig up the terrain. Take the more as surprise.

The Nyikom-Team wishes nice day for finding the cache.
