Washingtonvilles September 11th Firefighters memorial cache

There are a lot of memorials for the Firemen that gave all on 9-11-01. This is a nice one. It’s important to visit these memorials and read who these people were. They were the crazy guys that run into the building when everyone else is running out. Yet reading about them, they were not so crazy. They were just regular dads, uncles, neighbors and friends that make up our community. There is an actual cache there. It’s a candle kit. If you decide to light a candle, use the lid to set the candle in. As any Fireman, worth the salt in his shirt, would tell you. “Do not play with matches”. Light the candle, say a prayer for our neighbors departed, pack it back up and leave it sealed for the next cacher.
