Geocache Description:

A lengthy, but easy cache hunt exploring the southern most network of carriage roads around Rockefeller State Park.

We parked at the Stone Barn Center, off Rt 448 in Pocantico. (visit link)
This is a great place to visit with the kids, and access is free. As you proceed on this hunt, your direction arrow may point into a fenced off, restricted area, which is patrolled regularly. There is no need to trespass, there is a legal set of carriage roads that go around the restricted area to the east and south. It is this convoluted access that makes the area so remote. It is because of this isolation that Darielle and I love this part of the preserve.The first two stages are micros, with the final stage being a regular cache, filled with the usual trinkets. We walked 4.5 miles in putting out this cache.
