DEUTSCH: Die Araburg in 799 m Seehöhe ist die höchstgelegene Burgruine in Niederösterreich. Man erreicht sie von der Bahnsation Kaumberg in ca. 1 Stunde Gehzeit. Anfahrt mit dem Auto bis zum Parkplatz: N = 48°00.894 E = 015°52.132 Von dort gelang man in ca. 20 Min. zur Burg. Die Ruine (mit Schenke) und der Ausblick vom Burgfried sind in jedem Fall sehenswert (geöffnet 1. April – Ende Oktober, Die u. Mi Ruhetag. Der Eintritt bzw Erhaltungsbeitrag beträgt dzt € 5.- Um den Cache zu finden muß man die Burg jedoch nicht betreten. CACHE: N = 48°00.640 E = 015°52.083 Der Cache ist eine 350ml Lock-Lock Box. You can reach it by walking for one hour from railway station Kaumberg.If you arrive by car, leave it at the parking-site: N = 48°00.894 E = 015°52.132 From there you need about 20 min. to walk uphill, following a marked path. The ruin (with a small inn) and the view from the lookout are worth to be seen. (open: 1.april – end of october, tues. and wed. closed; Entrance fee € 5.- To find the cache it is not necessary to enter the castle.
