This area used to be called the "Norumbega Duck Feeding Area," but it seems that feeding bread to the ducks was not beneficial to the ducks or the environment. If you would like to feed the ducks, please bring along some lettuce, peas, or sweetcorn.
The cache container has a small opening, which means you will have to have small items if you want to trade. Please sign the log sheet located in the plastic bag. There is canoe and kayak rental (https://paddleboston.com/rentals/our-locations/newton-historic-boathouse/about/) within walking distance so you can cruise the Charles along with the winged creatures. There is plenty of poison ivy around, but you do not have to go through it to find the cache container.
