Several of us where out caching and scouting new locations up along Skyline this morning. We were hopping from trailhead to trailhead north from Black Rd., when we stopped at this one (just across from the Castle Rock main entrance).
What an awsome spot! The rock formations here are amazing, and there are several major trails accessable from this point. We spent the entire morning here enjoying the scenery (well... that and waiting for a tow truck... gotta get more spare keys!).
Bring your family and a picnic and spend an afternoon exploring, you won't be disappointed!
The cache is an ammo can hidden just a short distance from the main attraction. Its just up the hill a bit, and tucked into the roots under some debris.
