The co-ordinates at the top are not the location of the cache,
but of Craigmillar Castle. It is not necessary to enter the castle
site for doing the cache, although I can certainly recommend it if
you have the time and inclination. For up-to-date opening hours and
other useful information please check the user link at the top of
the page. I have placed the containers in an arc around the castle,
so you can view it from different sides while walking from cache to
cache. There are also good views to some of the other hills of
Edinburgh.
The idea of this multi cache is that there are four containers
hidden in the usual fashion but only one of them contains another
container (the inner cache) with a log and the usual swaps. Rather
then following a pre-determined order you can plan your route any
way you like starting from any one of the suggested access points
(or even from somewhere else). Depending on your luck or
understanding of the mindset of the cache hider you might find the
inner cache straight away or only in the fourth location. Let me
know in your log how many finds it took you, but please don’t give
away the location of the inner cache. I reserve the right to move
the inner cache to a different container at any time. If you would
like to move it yourself (optional), please do it quickly to
minimize the chance that another cacher finds all four places
empty.
