Vuorenpoimutusten yhteydessä tulivuorten purkaustuotteet ovat useimmiten niin muuttuneita, ettei niiden alkuperäisiä rakenteita enää erota. Täällä Linkupalon tulivuoripuistossa muinaisten tulivuortenkivien eli vulkaniittien rakenteet ovat poikkeuksellisen hyvin säilyneet. Annetut koordinaatit vievät sinut parkkialueella, josta lähtee n. 1 km mittainen polku. Saadaksesi selville lopulliset koordinaatit sinun täytyy kiertää polku ja tutkia alueen opastaulut. Parkkialueen vierellä on myös kota, jossa on tulentekomahdollisuus.
