Geocache Description:

The multicache starts with ancient ruins, then with an 18th century monument which both provide clues for the location of the cache. There is a footpath and it shouldn't be very difficult.

Kea is a beautiful island, full of ancient and modern history. To find the cache, you have to explore both ancient and modern monuments of the island's history. The cache container is a tupperware box which is located in N37o40.ABC', E24o18.XYZ'. To decode the coordinates, you should visit the following sites. To get to the first site, drive past the small town of Vourkari and continue straight.

1) N37o40.151, E24o19.529
There is a signpost with various information for the ancient ruins.
A = The second digit of the birth year of the settlement
B = The first digit of the birth year of the settlement
C = B + 1

2) N37o40.218, E24o19.097
There is a stone carved with various information for a local hero.
X = The second digit of the year he died
Y = The third digit of the year he died
Z = The second digit of the year he was born

If you follow these, you should arrive at the location of the cache and should be able to find it quickly. Keep an eye out for boats and ferries since they can pass very near the coast which will give out the cache location. Also try to visit the cache early in the morning of late in the evening since it can be very hot during the day!

Small note on cache maintenance: I visit the island where the cache is at least once a month (and my sister who is also participating even more frequently).
