(Chempechnebeli) ist der berndeutsche Ausdruck für "Steinhölzli"
Dieser Cache ist in einem Wald am südwestlichen Stadtgrenze gelegen. Er ist leicht zu finden und eignet sich sehr gut für Familien mit Kindern. Ausser den letzten 60 Metern um den Cache hat es nur gepflasterte, asphaltierte Wege oder hartgetretenen Waldboden. Einige wenige Muggels Hundehalter könnten beim Cache vorbeigehen, aber meistens werdet Ihr niemanden in der Nähe des Caches sehen. Bei beiden Zugängen (Access 1 und 2) hat es Pärke und Spielplätze, wo die Kinder herumtollen können. Desgleichen stehen Grillstellen, Bänke und Tische zur freien Verfügung. Bei den Spielplaätzen sind auch Toiletten vorhanden Wie in jeder Stadt in dieser Welt, ist das Parkieren von Autos ein Problem. Natürlich gibt es bei beiden Zugängen Parkplätze, aber entweder „Blaue Zone“, wo das Parkieren mit der Euro-Parkscheibe auf 1.5 Stunden beschränkt ist, oder dann aber „Weisse Zone“ , in der man bezahlen muss. Ich möchte alle Cacher, besonders die aus der Gegend, ermuntern, das Auto zuhause zu lassen, und mit dem Bus auf die Schatzsuche zu gehen. Nehmt entweder Bus 16 (Abends und am Wochenende 16/19) Richtung Spiegel oder Gurten und steigt bei der Haltestelle „Zieglerspital“ (Bus Stop 1, 4. Haltestelle ab Bahnhof) aus. Es sind knappe 5 Minuten zu Fuss bis zu Access 1.
Oder nehmt den Bus 10 Richtung Köniz oder Schliern bis zur Haltestelle „Dübystrasse“ (Bus Stop 2, 4. Haltestelle ab Bahnhof). Der Zugang Access 2 ist gleich auf der anderen Strassenseite. Allen Cacher, die den Wald nicht gut kennen, empfehle ich wärmstens, den „Back Track“ einzuschalten, da es viele Wege und Pfade gibt.
Die oben angegebenen Koordinaten weisen auf den Standort von Access 1.

Wichtig: Schaut nicht auf die englischen Clues, da die Wortlänge anders ist als auf Deutsch!!

(Chempechnebeli) is the same as “Steinhölzli” in the local dialect Berndeutsch.
The cache is situated in a forest at the south-western city limit of Bern. It is easy to find and very well suited for families with children. Except for the last 100 feet around the cache, all paths and trails are either paved or hard beaten. Some few muggle dog handlers might walk by the cache location, but most of the time you won’t see anybody around the cache. At both accesses, there are parks and playgrounds, where children can run and play, fireplaces, benches and tables, all for free and public use. Near the playgrounds are restrooms. As in all the cities around the world, parking a car is a problem, Of course, in the vicinity of access 1 and 2, there are parking spots, but so called “blue zone” where you need the (free) Euro Parking disc, restricting the parking time to 1.5 hours, or “ white zone”, where you have to pay. I would recommend to all cachers, especially the locals, to leave the car at home and come to find the cache by public transportation. Take either bus 16 (Evenings and weekends 16/19 ) in direction of Spiegel or Gurten and get off at “Zieglerspital” (Bus stop 1, 4th stop from main train station). Access 1 is a 5 minutes walk away from the bus stop. Or take bus 10 heading for Köniz or Schliern and get off at “Dübystrasse” (Bus stop 2, 4th stop from main train station). Access 2 is right across the street form the bus stop. For those cachers, not knowledgeable with the forest, I strongly recommend to turn on the “ back track”, as there are many trails and paths.
