Laisser votre voiture à N48°34.272 E007°29.012 et suivre les panneaux "Sentier des Casemates". Le parcours qui mène à la cache vous prendra environ 30 minutes - le terrain n'est pas adapté pour les poussettes, mais les enfants à partir de 5 ans devraient pouvoir complèter le tour sans problème. Une lampe de poche vous permettra d'explorer l'abri à munitions, près de la cache.
Sur le chemin, de nombreux panneaux numérotés vous informent sur les différentes fortifications et leurs fonctions respectives.
Quand vous descendez les marches après avoir trouvé la cache, vous avez le choix entre trois possibilités pour le retour: tourner à droite pour faire le reste du sentier des casemates (environ 4km de plus, avec comme bonus une autre cache), tourner à gauche et retracer votre chemin, ou alors tourner à gauche puis descendre tout de suite sur la droite (panneau "Molsheim - Soultz LB - Vallée"), pour descendre par une autre route qui mène quand même directement au parking (environ 2,5km de plus). Dans ce dernier cas vous pouvez admirer la "porte que ne sert à rien", à N48°33.796 E007°28.431.
(English) This walk takes you on a tour of a German defensive line from the First World War. Leave your car next to the school at N48°34.272 E007°29.012. The walk to the cache will take about 30 minutes, and can be managed by small children, but the path is not "stroller-friendly". If you have a flashlight, this will be handy for exploring the ammunition dump near the cache.
Along the way, a series of numbered signs, in French and German, explain the history of the site and the purpose of the different fortifications.
When you get to the bottom of the steps after finding the cache, you can choose between three ways to get back: turn right to continue the official walk (about 4km more, with a chance to find another cache), turn left and go back the way you came, or turn left and then immediately right down the hill (at the sign saying "Molsheim - Soultz LB - Vallée"), which will bring you back to your car via a different, but no less attractive route (about 2.5km), including a view of a door in the middle of nowhere at N48°33.796 E007°28.431.
