Geocache Description:

This is a multi-waypoint puzzle cache using a permanent orienteering course based at Chingford Park.

The co-ordinates above are for the main entranceway to the park.

You will need to visit a series of Orienteering controls to get the clue to determine the final co-ordinates of the cache. Each control has an orange and white metal plate with a number and two letters.

Copy down the letters and put them together in numeric order by station to get the key to decypher the final co-ordinates.

  • 05     S 45° 50.555 E 170° 32.389
  • 08     S 45° 50.598 E 170° 32.285
  • 12     S 45° 50.637 E 170° 32.310
  • 15     S 45° 50.659 E 170° 32.188
  • 24     S 45° 50.550 E 170° 32.355
  • 26     S 45° 50.487 E 170° 32.193
  • 33     S 45° 50.489 E 170° 32.320
  • 38     S 45° 50.565 E 170° 32.399
  • 39     S 45° 50.592 E 170° 32.150
You now have the key to decrypt the co-ordinates of the cache itself at:
    445tmdjsvkq4oaerm

The Cache is a 1.2 ltr camo-painted plastic container and when first hidden contained:
    'Karabiner' clip
    Digital watch
    Dunedin souvenir coin
    Wooden mystery box

While most of the control co-ordinates have an accuracy of 6 to 8 metres, some are under tree cover with patchy cover at best.

To assist your hunt, this map of the course is available.
