Geocache Description:

Placed on Lark Stoke Hill, South Warwickshire. Next to the Trig point and the TV & mobile transmiters.

Once again this one follows with our theme of caches with a view. This weekend the views were great, the black mountains and Severn estury in the south west, the malverns and the citys of Birmingham and even the rising steam from the cooling towers at the power plant at Nottingham to the north east.In the fore ground of course, Meon Hill, Stratford upon Avon and Warwick.Larkstoke Hill is a major radio transmitting location for South Warks. The BBC transmitt from here, as do O2 and probably every other local radio station and mobile network provider. Nearby the HF ariels used by the police communication at Nebsworth can clearly be seen on the next rise of the hills.

People should be aware of the probable high levels of non-ionising radiation given out by the radio ariels, do not interfere with them or enter in to the compound.

PLEASE BEWARE! SOME REMOTE LOCKING SYSTEMS FOR CARS HAVE BEEN FOUND NOT TO WORK IN ITS IMEDIATE LOCATION! IF YOU HAVE A PACEMAKER FITTED-KEEP CLEAR OF THE TRANSMITTERS ALSO!

The cache is a tupperware box, and placed in the broken / fallen part of the wall only 20yds from the OS Triangulation point. Its under one flat stone which covers it from above.
It is full of goodies and includes, toys, cable ties and of course the regular log book and pencils. The cache location is just off the public footpath and is easily reached by walking along the edge of the field against the cotswold dry stone wall.Local villages of Ilmington, Ebrington and Mickleton all have great village pubs, so refreshments should not be an issue. The local National Trust house is Hidcote, which is walkable from the cache location, down hill following the track, the gardens are supposed to be some of the best in the area.Parking is available in the area of N52 04.888 W1 43.702, being the closest, but as you can see when you arrive the locals just abandon there cars everywhere! There is plenty of gateways, or park at Hidcote House and walk up the hill if you are realy going to enjoy the walk.
