Built: 1928History: Shelter is often used by thru-hikers of the Appalachian Trail, although at time of placement, no shelter log could be found.Directions to Trailhead: Tiorati Circle, parking area in the picnic area.Directions to Shelter: Follow Ramapo-Dunderburg (Red) Trail up Arden Valley Road for .1 mile where you will join the Appalachian (White) Trail. Turn left and follow Ramapo-Dunderburg and AT for 1.1 mile. Shelter will be at intersection of Ramapo-Dunderburg (Red) Trail, AT, and Hurst (Blue) Trail.Total miles to shelter: 1.2 (one way) Water Source Nearby: yes, but may be seasonal.Shelter coords: N41 15.795 W074 06.243
