This regular cache is placed to the
west of the New Forest boundary adjacent to Bisterne
Common.
The cache is a 3 litre, clear plastic
container with plenty of goodies inside. I spend many hours walking
and biking in the New Forest and so recommend approaching this
cache from Burbush Hill car park (N50° 48.911 W001° 42.914).
Certain routes can be wet all year round.
If you have time it is worth taking a
picnic and enjoying the views from Avon Clump, which is the high
point of Dur Hill Inclosure.
Access is also possible (there is
parking for a couple of cars) along the gravel track from the Crow
– Bransgore road.
