Geocache Description:

I've been told that different parts of the bay area almost 'belong' to certain geocachers. South San Jose has been characterized to me as "Marky & Joani Land", I was in Pleasanton recently and it seemed that everything was by "N2Books2". Fremont could easily be renamed "SpazWorld".

Well, recently I tagged along on an outing to Villa Montalvo in Saratoga, and there were so many caches by "WorkerOfWood" that I was tempted to go up to the big house and ask if he was home. They were everywhere, up the hill, down the hill, in the surrounding neighborhoods. Little caches, big caches, even caches by proxy, all of them excellent. I'm sure he has a grid somewhere that shows him exactly how many caches can be fit into the park. Truly the man has claimed this area as his own.

We tried to get as many as we could. MotorBug was already in the park doing the same thing and we finally ran into him on the way down a hill. After all that effort my compatriots mingled around in the parking lots and I went off to explore some recent art installations.

Now, our team had gotten an early start, no breakfast, no stopping for lunch - 4 digit cachers run on adrenaline, not food. It had been all I could do to keep up so far. I heard the soothing call of a burbling brook and followed a path down towards it. Just as I switched back and went along the stream, I felt faint and, I'll admit, swooned. At least I chose a lovely place to do it.

TeamAlamo and FisherWoman came and found me and hustled me off to food and rest. However, it appears that the fall jarred loose a cache I had been carrying. I have the coordinates of the area - it should be within reach of the trail. Perhaps the guy who knows the place so well will be able to find it...
