Geocache Description:

I have May 22nd-23rd 2004 on the observatory calendar for the 2nd Annual Geo-Star Party here at Pine Mountain Observatory. The snow should be gone and the wild flowers in full bloom. The birds will be nesting and spring will be in full swing on the mountain. Logscaler's "Pine Mountain Ridge Runner" will be at its best for getting!Camping will be available at the Pine Mountain Campground and at my place adjacent to the observatory. My place is just across the road from the campground. I will have water and trash hauling available for this event. There will be plenty of room for RVs and tents. The Potluck-BBQ-Bonfire will be at my place starting around 6pm Saturday the 22nd. Viewing through the telescopes will begin when it gets dark. You can arrive anytime to set up camp and go caching! Food details: Bring something to BBQ and drink. A-M-side dish or salad and N-Z bring a desert. I'll provide condiments, paper goods and a couple of BBQs. If we get a lot of folks I'll post a note at www.oregongeocaching.org and round up another BBQ or two. Here is the Observatory web-site for those of you who don't know about us: (visit link) ) Direct inquiries and ideas to me here or to PMOGUY at www.oregongeocaching.org under event planning.
