We were able to get my Buick Regal to this point. From here we highly recommend a four-wheel drive vehicle. If you decide to hike in from here, you have a 2.1 mile one way trek to look forward to. But don’t be discouraged, the hike is along an old county road (and I use the word road VERY loosely) and is fairly level with some moderate slopes along the way.
As you hike in you will see many ‘No Trespassing’ signs on either side of the road. As this is a county road, the signs only apply to the land off the road.

N 39 36.586 W 079 46.772
If you attempt to drive in, we do not recommend driving past this point, approx. 1.5 miles from the first coordinates, as there is a major obstacle a little ways ahead and this is the last place to turn around.

The obstacle is as follows:
About .5 to .6 miles after the last suggested coordinates there is a spot where a stream crosses the road. (Big rocks, decent falls) The road turns to the left and the hill on the right is fairly vertical. About 20-30 feet the road bends to the right around the hill. About here there has been a landslide and about 1/4 to 1/3 of the road has slid down the hill. My brother (wvcoalcat) and I figure a Jeep or something similar could make it but anything wider might have a problem. It gets a little narrow.
We haven't been down here for quite a few years and have no clue how long it's been like that but to me it didn't look like it was weathered much.

The cache is a 50 caliber ammo box.
