Een cache met uitzicht over het Groninger land
Bij de startcoördinaten is een parkeerplaats. Ga voor het
informatiebord staan (ongeveer 1 m ervoor). De cache ligt 0,865 km
hier vandaan, richting 081°. Er zijn meerdere paden die naar Rome
leiden, ze zijn allemaal de moeite waard. Je loopt (of fietst) door
een relatief nieuw aangelegd recreatie/natuur gebied. Het bos stelt
nog niet veel voor, maar het zit er vol met hazen, reeën, fazanten,
torenvalken, buizerden, puttertjes en veel ander kruipend en
vliegend spul.
Na de cache is het de moeite waard om langs de molen in het zuiden
te lopen. Het pad dat je dan terugleidt naar de weg (pal W) loopt
langs een waterrijk gebied met oude slenken uit de tijd dat hier
nog kwelders waren aan de rand van de (Wadden)zee.
English: You can park your car at the start location. Stand in
front of the information sign. You’ll find the cache 0,865 km
from here in the direction 081°. You’ll walk or cycle through
a new recreation/nature area, which holds lots of roe deer, hares,
pheasants, falcons, buzzards, goldfinches, etc. From the cache site
you’ll have a nice view over the Groningen countryside. After
the cache I suggest you walk south to the windmill and from there
west to go back to the road. On this path you’ll walk along
the old creeks that used to be in the saltmarshes on the coast.
