Wolfs Bane Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Naefearjustbeer: This cache is missing and will not be replaced by me so I am archiving it. Maybe someone closer to the location may want to use the spot again in the future. Thanks to everyone that found it and no thanks to the thieving toe rag that stole it.

Geocache Description:

Not another lame roadside cache I hear you say, Maybe once you stop you might find this place is of some interest.

This is the spot where the last wolf in Sutherland was shot by The Hunter Polson in or about the year 1700. This should be a quick easy find on your way North to complete all my other caches !!
You can park within 20 feet of the cache and the last few feet involve a short steep slope.

There has been talk of releasing the wolf back into the Highlands to help control the deer population. I dont know if this will ever happen but it is something to think about when you are heading out to some of the remoter spots!!

There have been a few logs mentioning that the cache has been wet or damp, Everytime I have passed and checked on it and found it damp the box has been set on its side. Every time I have stopped and found it to be dry it has been sitting upright. If you replace the box upright then I hope it will stay dry.
