During a restoration long, long time ago I discovered a set of mysterious parchments, which ignited a great mystery after since. After careful examination I noticed that some of the parchments, apart from containing Latin texts, revealed the presence of ciphers and codes. I spent a lot of time to investigate the parchments. The discoveries I made were completed by the discovery of a physical anagram of the writing of the original parchments. The transcription directly resulted from this discovery lead me to a hidden treasure. Next, of course, I removed the physical engravings containing the anagram. However unfortunately for some reason a copy has been kept for posterity. The secret behind the hidden code I’ve written down in coded form in a hand written note, containing a coded reference to the treasure I found. To my happiness the transcription is not very well understood to this day. The codes I used relates to the original parchments I found during the restoration. I can tell you that 8 letters form the basis for the particular coding I applied to keep my secret unrevealed.
In the next few years my discovery brought me a very rich life.
There have been many theories about my sudden wealth, but in essence, not one has provided either the complete picture or a wholly satisfactory explanation, I have to say.
After my foreseen but unfortunate death, two of the original parchments appeared lost in a blazing fire; however, some Order claim to possess the knowledge I gained from the parchments up to this very moment. The content of the resting pieces of parchments now is closely examined in relation to my handwritten notes. You may find evidence of this.
A mysterious geometrical pattern appeared to me during my research and many wanderings in the vicinity I used living in. Although I never explained my secret to anybody, this geometrical pattern is since then rediscovered and much talked and debated about. Just before I died I restored the content of the original treasure.
Since my death I noticed that a lot of people keep hunting for the treasure future. Their effort is based on my scribbled note, found so sadly after my sudden death, and fragments of two of the original parchments. I want this to stop, to give my soul the peace I’m now seeking for. Therefore I quest the best group of searchers for helping me solve my personal problem. Because the treasure is only for the initiated, you should carefully handle the hints I secretly gave you in this letter, and as a consequence I cannot reveal too much of the many, many details. You may need to study my past very well in order to be able to rediscover what I did.
Let me warn you: because the ancient old texts are now influenced by many misinterpretations and translations some careful approach should be taken. If you can find the geometry pattern I mentioned and discovered during my lifetime, you might also be able to find the treasure. Be careful, this pattern is still debated and further developed, so be careful to select the one-and-only-one I discovered. The transcribed content of my note contains a hidden phrase. Search for the note and deciphered hidden phrase. Although by now studied by many people, the true meaning of this hidden phrase has never been found.

Count the number of individual characters in the original transcription (in original language) of the hidden phrase in my scribbled note.
