Geocache Description:

Warning: Hunt this cache at your own risk.

This cache is at Van Vechten city park, and has two goals. One half is to bring people to this neat area with a regular cache. The other half is to encourage CITO (Cache In, Trash Out) amoung all cachers. Some already do collect litter while caching, others probly do so only when prompted. To claim this cache, in addition to signing the logbook you must document you or your team picking up litter in a park or on a trail. I would like a picture showing either the trash collected, or you/team in the act of collecting.
Inside the container at Van Vechten park, there are a few items to help everyone fulfill this requirement. There are a number of 35mm film tubes packed with white kitchen bags (one per tube), and a camera (leave the camera with the cache!). Use either, both, or none as nessecery. Feel free to take a couple tubes for later use, if you end up with 'extra' just move them to another cache.
To get to the this cache, park at N41°58.188 W91°38.122, there is a parking lot (but currently closed for the winter), open air shelter, and stationary grill here. Off the the southeastern corner there is a foot path that leads off into the woods. You can follow this path to with ~65ft. of the cache. Take care to not wander off the easterly side of the trail early on (the cache is on the opposite side so there is really little reason to be over there), because going that way quickly leads you to private property. There are a couple old signs displaying exactly that fact. Because I know cachers get to lots of different areas in their adventures, you are not required to do your CITO work at, or near this cache. You may pick up any public use area that you would like, so long as it is documented. You do not even have to CITO the same time as you find the cache. A day or two either direction is ok, but **you may not claim an organized clean up, or any collecting that is already required by other caches!**. Any finds found having done so will be deleted. In your log please indicate how/when the pictures for you little clean up will be available (those that use the cache camera say so, please!). I will get the cache camera developed and scaned when it is full, those using their own cameras should indicate when their pictures will be done.
If you need help converting or uploading images, getting a digital scan of a printed picture, or otherwise encounter delays, let me know as soon as possiable. For more on geocaching in Eastern Iowa, vist the Eastern Iowa Geocachers Association home page.
