Take a walk around the parks and gardens in the Finsbury and Pentonville boroughs of Islington, and locate a few caches on your journey. There are 4 parks that looked especially interesting, and I have placed a micro cache at each one of them. From Angel Station, the round trip would be approximately 2 miles.
The cache is hidden at peaceful Wilmington Square in Finsbury. I didn’t find much historical information about this park, but I was impressed with the old water fountain on the southwest side of the park. There are numerous shrubs and trees throughout, and multiple flower beds in the center. Overall, this is a pleasant park and will be more enjoyable when the weather improves. The park has only one entrance gate, and this is locked during nighttime hours.
You are searching for a small breath strip container painted to match its surroundings. Magnets are involved, as expected. You will not need to leave the pavement to retrieve or replace the cache. The cache contains a log only, so bring your own pen or pencil.
