Finding the access route and following the nature trail make this a wonderful journey in an undiscovered location. A wonderul trip you shouldn't miss.
Water bottle type cache. Basically a log book and pencil
and some funny money. There is plenty of room for one or two more
caches, so bring one along and add to the adventure.
Parking coordinates are revealed in the hint; however, the name
of the cache will indicate the correct street to enter. Don't try to go past the guard house. Once you get that close, parking for the nature area is obvious.
Now, for the hike. Go through the open field past the little shack. Go left along the fence and around the back of the plant. Read about the operation of the plant on signs along the way. (Note all the potential cache locations along the route.) When you pop out on the roadway, go to the right and stay on the road. You will see many more lookouts as you go. Continue past the Tie off Trail. The cache location will be easy to spot from the road. After placing the cache, we continued walking another 1/4 mile down the road to the Coast Guard River Signal light. (Another excellent spot for a cache.)
Note that there is no direct route so the trail will be longer then the indicated distance to the cache.
Look out for the Wheelabrator. He will be watching you.
