Bluebell
Extravaganza
First of all
it would be good to watch this cache for news of when the bluebells
are at their best. I will be posting that information here every
year.
This is a
peanut butter jar painted camouflage. It’s located in an area that
in places comes alive with an ocean of blue bells--and even pink
and white bells--every year. It’s truly a sight to see and smell
these flowers when they reach their peak a week or two before
Mother’s Day. To see the flowers best I start at the parking lot
and proceed down the trail to the left (the blue jay trail). Then I
make the long loop to gold finch trail before making my way back to
the car. The blue jay trail bridge over Prescott Creek has been
moved by floodwaters downstream a bit.
When the blue bells are in blossom
PLEASE take the paths as much as
possible.
You may want
to look at the gallery of images. One of the newest ones is this
surreal apparition of bluebells submerged under flood waters
pouring through the woods on 4/26/07. Click on the
image.
