Pirunpesänkivi on omituisen näköinen, sisältä ontoksi kovertunut kuutiomainen siirtolohkare, jossa on useita aukkoja. Suonigneissisen kiven sisällä pienet luolat ovat kahdessa kerroksessa. Kun onkaloita koputtaa, ne vastaavat oudoin äänin. Tämä luonnonoikku on syntynyt kiveen pureutuneiden hiushalkeamien laajetessa. Näitä sisältä rapautuneita kiviä kutsutaan tafoneiksi. Pirunpesäkivi on Suomen toiseksi suurin tafoni.
Tarina kertoo, että itse piru on asustanut kivessä aikoinaan. Kun vastarannalle rakennettiin Suoniemen kirkko, päätti piru hylätä kiven. Travel bug Hiisi tutki entistä pirun asuntoa ja piti siitä kovasti, mutta arveli siellä käyvän sen verran vieraita, jotta halusi itselleen rauhallisemman kolon lähettyviltä.

Tieltä 12 käännytään oikealle Sarkolan tienhaarasta, ajetaan 770 m. Sitten tulee risteys, josta käännytään vasemmalle Kutalaan päin ja ajetaan 2270 m. Tällöin tulee risteys oikealle (N 61º 24.719' E 023º 12.598'), josta pääsee Vanajavuorelle, jossa Pirunpesänkivi sijaitsee. Matkaa risteyksestä tulee 3000 m tien päähän monen risteyksen kautta. Noin 600 m ennen tien päättymistä on ykstyistie kyltti, mutta se on mökkiläisten laittama. Talvella ei mökeissä näyttäisi olevan asukkaita.
The Devil's nest rock is weird looking, hollow, cubical erratic boulder. On the rock there is several holes. Inside the rock there are small caves in two floors. If you knock the holes you can hear a weird sound. This freak of nature has gotten its shape when small cracks in the rock have enlarged.
The story tells that the devil himself has lived inside the rock ages ago. When the Suoniemi church was built on the opposite shore of the lake, the devil decided to leave the rock. Travel Bug Hiisi checked the former home of the devil and liked it very much. Although Hiisi wanted some privacy and made his home to a quieter place nearby.

From the road 12 turn right to direction Sarkola and drive about 770 meters. Then turn to left to Kutala direction and drive about 2270 meters. Now you should be at the coordinates N 61º 24.719' E 023º 12.598'. From here turn right. This minor road leads you near the Devil's nest rock and the distance from the last crossroad to end of the road is about 3000 meters. About 600 meters before the road ends there is sign private road, because there are some summer huts at the end of the road. At the winter time there seems to be no residents around.
