Superbowl Sunday Blitz Cache Event Event Cache

This cache has been archived.

Bluegrass Gyrl: It's been a week since our get-together, I figure it's time to archive this baby. Don't get the event cache confused with the new permanent one that was placed recently!!

WOW...we are expecting quite a turnout!! The weather should be superb to get out for a few hours tomorrow!!

First...the poker cache...a few ground rules! There are 5 caches all located on the Common Loop of the Town Commons trail system. The caches are ziplock bags covered in brown tape for a bit of camo! There are 20 cards in each cache...so the first 20 cachers will get a hand!! Take ONE card from each cache. They are numberered...so you can't trade a card from one cache to another. No 2's...they've been replaced with Jokers. Jokers are WILD...limit one Joker per hand!! Bring your card to the event and the best hand wins a prize!! If you don't make it to the event, feel free to post a "find" anyway! Feel free to hunt the caches in any order...that might be part of your "strategy"!!!

Here are the coordinates for the poker cache:

Caches may be found in any order. When you find a cache, sign the log sheet and take a prize (one for each group PLUS one for each child in the group!) No need to leave anything. These are temporary caches, which will be picked up after the event cache.

The coordinates will take you to our meeting place! We'll start at 3:00 p.m., so you'll have plenty of time to make it back to your couch before kickoff! You can BYO (buy your own) latte, hot chocolate, juice, soda and other treats! Your ticket to the event is a signature item to place in our cache that will be hidden in the future to commemorate our gathering. This cache will also be the starting point for a Travel Bug race!! You can bring a new TB (how about placed on a keychain souvenir for your favorite team!?) to release or an existing one you have in your possession (as long as the race doesn’t interfere with the owner’s goal!). The object of this race is a bit different: to visit as many NFL cities as possible until February 6th, 2005 (the date of the next Superbowl) on their way to the Finish Line in Jacksonville, Florida (the place of the next Superbowl).

Please be sure to check back for logs informing you of other new caching opportunities in the morning before our get-together. Plans are in the works for a “kids and family” cache series, and a "poker cache". Coordinates will be posted as logs to this page before sunrise on the day of the event. RSVP by logging here, as we need a headcount to be sure the venue we have chosen will hold us all!!!!! Look forward to seeing you there!
