Geocache Description:

On top of King George mountain overlooking the hamlet of Arctic Bay, on the norhtern edge of Baffin Island. The cache is north of the treeline, providing for a day filled with incredible vistas of sedimentary rock formations including giant hoodoos. If you are unsure how to climb, ask any locals - they will be very happy to help.

Climb the mountain, and head for the massive inukshuk which is visible from arctic bay.(for those not familiar with Inuit culture, an Inukshuk is like a giant road sign - or a giant you are here sign) The trip is about 4 hours one way from Arctic Bay, unless you decide to go in the winter in which case DRESS WARM and use a skidoo. The cache itself is next to the Inukshuk under a small, but visible, rock pile. It contains a small collection of Northern stuff, and some southern stuff...however one should find this cache for the view! In the cache you will find, a local carving, a cbc radio guide, and an Arctic Bay postcard. You may want to bring your own pen, since the pencil that is in the cache may or may not survive multiple winters.
