It is located atop a mesa with a nice view of Ferron, Utah and the surrounding area.
This cache is best approached from the west. There is only one route to the top of this mesa located just east of Mill Site golf course. You can park just off a paved road at N 39° 5.613' W 111° 10.950' and follow a rough trail to the top. There is about a .26 mile hike to the cache from this parking spot. While on top, take some time look around at the views of Ferron and the San Rafael Swell to the east and Mill Site reservoir and Ferron Canyon to the west. You may find some interesting rocks - such as petrified worm tubes and evidence that Indians lived on top with a few pottery pieces scattered around. Some examples of what I found while setting the cache are in the cache (please leave these for others to see). A walk around the top will give some good views of some nearby pinnacles. You're looking for a ceramic pot. The original contents included: - 3 golf balls (courtesy of the nearby golf course) - Halloween stickers - Smokey Bear shoe laces - Smokey Bear ruler - lucky rabbits foot - small USA flag - holiday erasers
