This cache has been placed by Rob for Remembrance Day. He wanted to put it out to remember those who lost their lives serving for our country. You will visit three war memorials in villages close to the final location.
At the first location you will need to get the missing numbers from the date above C.L. Barrett.
19a9 - 194b
a =
b = + 2
Use these numbers to locate the next memorial:
N51 05.61b
W001 21.2a2
If you look behind this memorial you will see a gravestone in the shape of a book. How old was Joseph Thornley when he passed away? Last digit = c
N51 06.644
W001 23.4c5
At this memorial, count the amount of people from the parish who gave their lives in The Great War.
d = - 5
N51 06.9d1
W001 23.d84
These are the final co-ordinates where you should find a brown ammo box filled with poppies.
We will be checking this cache regularly for the next few weeks and any donations will be collected and sent to the Poppy Appeal. Please don't feel you have to donate.
THE DONATIONS HAVE NOW BEEN SENT OFF TO THE POPPY APPEAL AND THE CACHE HAS NOW BEEN FILLED WITH THE USUAL CACHE ITEMS.
