Geocache Description:

DO NOT USE THE COORDINATES AT THE TOP OF THE PAGE AS THEY ARE PARK MARKERS. GO TO SHAGGY BARK FOR YOUR FIRST POINT.

THIRTY LOVE is the fourth cache of a Progressive Sequential Cache of which there are five parts. As you finish each cache you will find the Co-ordinates for the next cache on the inside cover of the log book. You may complete all caches in one outing or you may interrupt the finds as you see fit. Just remember that you may log and get credit for all finds in this series which includes: SHAGGY BARK, ANIMAL BOXES, DAM SPILLWAY, THIRTY LOVE AND TRAILS END. Remember they have to be done SEQUENTIALLY for you to get credit for them. For example, you cannot log THIRTY LOVE before ANIMAL BOXES or your log will be deleted. All Caches are titled with names that describe the cache area itself or are part of a distinguishing feature of the cache area.

All of these caches are located within a City Park which, to my knowledge, has never been blessed with a GEOCACHE. Here, you will find, many ball fields, basketball courts, tennis courts, a large lake for fishing, trails for hiking, many shelters, many, many picnic tables and a PLAY AREA for the wee ones. Several of the caches are located off trail so you will have to bush whack to get to them. I have not given coordinates for parking areas as there are six in this park and you will probably be using all of them.

When you are looking for the caches, PLEASE DO NOT look like the beginning geocacher with your GPS held at arms length, plodding along through the park visitors while looking only at the GPS. Be discrete. After you have signed the log and entered the new co-ordinates on your G.P.S., be sure that the lid is on the cache securely and the area has been camouflaged again. Do not leave this important task to your children.

The first four caches are located in small containers so bring nothing much larger than a matchbox car to swap. The last container is larger (8x3x12) so it can accommodate a deck of playing cards. Please do not overfill as overfilling causes loose lids and loose lids cause wet contents.

Looking for a trail head? There’s one just off the road about 100 yards south of the Spillway.

Contents of this cache are as follows: Log Book, Pencil, Pen, Hulk ball, Stuffed Animal, Match Box Cars, Cigarette Lighters, Die, Plastic Skeleton, Small pak Kleenex, Plastic Soldier.

HAPPY TRAILS
