Geocache Description:

This cache will test your skills and daring. It appeared featured in the November 8th Rec/Adventure section of the Rocky Mountain News: Thrill of the Hunt. It is a 5. You need gear and the ability to use it safely. You can get this cache going up or coming down. I chose to come down as the cache title implies.

Park at mile marker 270 on Route 6 west of Golden. Ascend the cliffy areas on the eastern side. There is an obvious use trail to start but you won't be on it for long. From there the routefinding is up to you.

There are plenty of good anchors including a bomber BFR (10ft slings needed) around 39 44.495 105 15.587.

My recorded elevations don't make sense so I won't report them here, but know that you have to go down only 25-30 feet (hence Abbreviated). You are looking for a green ammo box tucked away. It contains only a logbook and a camera. Please don't bring anything to trade.

Good luck. Please post hero shots here with your log. Be sure to check out the photos that I submitted with this cache.

Oh watch out for mountain lions.
