Easy Micro Cache with a waterproof log. Replacement for the Pennys on the Tracks, and Atsion Hotel Days. I decided to use this cache to describe the Atsion and provide a little history of the area.
Moved about 10 feet further away with a regular sized cache. Please, please, cover it back up well.
So, what is this place? Certainly now a popular put-in spot for the Mulica river Canoe and Kayak trips. Could this be an old building of sorts. Well, it is believed to originally be an Old Mill in the railroad era of the late 1800 hundreds. Then later it became the Cotton Mill. Then possibly a cranberry packing house in the Wharton Era. Its almost hard to believe how big the structure was. I was three stories at one time. Now, just imagine the area without much trees and very open for acres and acres. Quite different from the over growth now. The tiny little house you pass on the way in is from at least 1880. Hard to believe. It is truly amazing. Now, you add your part about the history of the place.
