In Wilton, take Route 7 north to Honey Hill Road and then to Wampum Hill Road. Coming in this way, look to the right to find the Belknap Preserve sign (partially obscured in woods) which will indicate trail head. Coordinates for gate are approximately: N 41 degrees 13.939 and W 73 degrees 24.816. Cache is about a quarter of a mile in.
Cache contents updated on April 20, 2007. Added new swag. Also have added a second hint to make this a bit easier. Cache on.
In Belknap Preserve....
It is dusk and overcast. You are wandering in the preserve as the rain drips through the trees. That might have been a snake you saw slithering across your path....or was it? Should you go to the high ground and follow the stonewalls out? Or should you go to the low ground, find the stream and then follow the water? Did you hear something, or was it just a small animal scurrying to safety? There are no clues......what should you do? Wait, is that a shadow? What was that noise? Are you alone? Perhaps not....
